My GE Profile (bottom freezer style) started getting warmer last week. I unplugged it for 30 seconds and it started working again but only for about 12-18hrs. I have reset it like this 2 more times but same result of only a 12 hour fix. Now that the weekends here I have time to repair. Hopefully this is enough and specific enough info to pinpoint the problem. Thanks.

Hi. From the information you provided I can think of the main control board defrost logistics failure with a very small possibilities of the inverter board failure. I have a question: When you are saying the fridge is getting warmer does the compressor and fan inside the freezer running? If the compressor doesn't run, open the main board cover, locate plug J7 pin 9 and a three wire plug just above it marked J8/comp. Use a multimeter set for Volts AC to check if there is 120V between J8 and pin9of J7. If no voltage - replace the main control board. The main control board Part number: AP4481481
Please read the instructions included in the package, you might need to cut the wire, depends on the serial number. The inverter kit Part number: AP5669522
Here are the breakdown diagrams and parts list for you refrigerator Model PDSS5NBXCLSS
Good luck. Please keep us posted of the results. Thank you. Simon. P.S. Keep in mind that you may return back any parts that you got from the APP.com within one year.

I replaced the mother board before I received your answer so I did not check the voltage. It seemed to be 100% silent and I was told if that was the case, it was the motherboard and not the inverter. After I did that, there didn't seem to be any change so my plan today was to put the old back in and do the voltage check. This morning the freezer is at 2F(17F last night) and fridge at 64F (same as last night). No fan running in fridge but fan seems to be running in freezer. Thanks for your response and help. Hopefully I can gitter done today.
Best, TOm
