My dishwasher has worked satisfactorily but I've noticed the main wash detergent cup lid doesn't open during the cycle. The soap IS being dispensed thru the hot water action. The placement of the detergent cup is such that when in operation the lower rack does not allow the detergent cup lid to fully open. I am not sure how the lid function is supposed to operate. When the cycle is over and the dishwasher door is opened, the detergent cup lid then pops open. There is no soap in the detergent cup.

I'm trying to understand if this was the intent of the design to allow partial opening, enough to allow the water action to move the detergent into the dishwasher tub.

Thank you.

Hi.

Yes, you are absolutely right. The dispenser door does not open all the way. That's how it's has been designed.

Thank you.

Simon.
