Bosch WTVC-5330US, purchased late 2009. No problems before this point.

Symptoms: dryer turns on normally, but when start button is pressed all that happens is a relay is heard to click. Motor/drum does not start running.

Diagnostics performed:

1. Timer *is* counting down and the "drying" light is on so I assume the door switch is good - haven't explicitly tested this part.
2. Entered "test mode" and no error codes are listed. But the motor/drum does not rotate in any of the tests where is should be running either.
3. Opened up rear and checked for broken belt and that belt broken switch is not tripped - both good.
4. Checked continuity/operation of belt broken switch - good.
5. Checked continuity of thermal overload device - good.
6. Checked operation of NTC thermistor - good.

I have scheduled a service tech to come out next Wednesday (6/24) but I'm pretty handy and would love to be able to avoid the need for the visit. What should I check next?

Thanks!

Didn't get any replies here but was able to figure out (a few days before the service guy came, fortunately) that the "Hi-Limit fusible (one-shot) protector" had no continuity. For anybody reading in future, this is located under the drum at the front of the machine, right under the door opening - it checks the temperature by the lint filter. Odd that such an obvious failure did not show any error codes when in test mode.

Bosch part number 00422177 - $10 later I'm back in business.
