Ice tray will not slide all the way in. The result is that the mechanical screw and the icedoor opener rod will not engage, and no ice is dispensed. The icemaker makes ice just fine. I find that the rod that opens the ice door when it is twisted does not fit into the back mechanism. The rod will no longer hit the groove. The icedoor and the rod on the ice tray is fine. It is just the mechanism in the rear that appears to have jammed in the wrong position.

I can fix this in a poor way by manually open the icedoor, and inserting the ice tray with the door open. Now it fits into a groove (nor neccesarily the right one) and slide all the way in. Now the door will stay open at all times, but I got it in long enough so the ice screw engages, and dispenses ice. Problem is of course that the hot air from the house gets into the icebox.

The picture has a [COLOR="Red"]red arrow[/COLOR] that shows the slot the door opener should go into, but is blocked by the plastic piece behind the slot.

Please advice how to fix the door opener mechanism.
