Changed gas valve coils. Continuity of fuse and sensors appear OK. What causes the gas valve to shut off after 1 minute? Where can I find wiring diagram?

Hi, Keren. (Did I guessed correct?):)
Does the flame comes back on after one minute or so? If it does remove the vent hose from the dryer and check if it makes any difference.
Thank you.
Simon.

Yes. Keren. you guessed correctly. The flame goes off after a minute and does not come back. There is a temperature sensor (I think) on the flame barrel. I believe its purpose is the disconnect power to the gas valve when temperature in the flame barrel is too high. Perhaps it went bad. I was thinking of jumping the contacts on this one and see if the flame will stay on. What do you think?

I did short the Hi limit thermostat (mounted on top of the heater barrel. The flame came on and stayed on continuously. The dryer drum was empty, no cloths in it (Air temperature in the drum goes higher quicker) . Is it time to change the Hi Limit thermostat? or is it something else?

Hi, Keren. There is something unusual about your dryer:) With hi-limit jumped heat should cycle on/off because of the thermistor. I would recommend you to make sure that the outside vent and internal air ducts (filter housing and blower wheel housing) are clean and then check the fuse. Have your meter ready and when flame will shut down check the fuse for continuity and then - check if fuse is conducting 120 Volts. Set meter for Volts AC and touch fuse terminals while the dryer is running but there is no heat. If you read any voltage - fuse is bad. Also, it's better if you keep a wet towel inside the dryer while testing. Here is the thermal fuse Part number: AP3133489
Thank you. Simon.
