I have removed the tub nut from my GE stackable washer and dryer combo model #gtup240m1ww. I want to replace the tub seal but the tub will not lift out, as indicated on the diagram that came with the product. the tub nut was threaded onto a plastic piece covering the adgetater shaft. this plastic piece seams to be preventing the tub from lifting out of the main casing. what am I missing. I have attached a photo of the threaded plastic piece that the the tub nut was screwed onto. What Now? Please help MSJORDAN attached the following image(s):

Believe it or not there is an o ring on the shaft above the drum and also one below the drum. Get a pick and take the top one out. Then I used a rivet gun with a flush set and drove on. The shaft as I guided the drum off. Or I am sure you can get a brass hammer and pound it out. If it is still. Not moving. Check for possible c clips or a set screw. I also sprayed Kroll oil around the shaft. You can also use wd-40. It may help to loosen things up. Good Luck
