I have a 26 year old GE gas range, and noticed today that it's clock display had stopped working. Investigating further, I found that the oven set knob(bake ,broil etc.) turned freely with no resistance. In other words, the oven doesn't work. The oven light and the surface burners all work.
Poking around on the internet for help will hopefully get me the answers.
Any help is appreciated.

Here are your parts.
Parts for GE JGBP26GEJ6 Range - AppliancePartsPros.com

Looks like most parts involved with oven control are obsolete.

I am assuming that it is the select switch that is bad.
You could pull the knob just to be sure it is not stripped.
