I have a Kitchenaid refrigerator (KSCS25INSS00) and the top shelf lights on the fridge side will not work. I tried new bulbs (twice), but didn't work. Lower down in fridge side there's another light that goes on fine. The freezer lights work fine. The lights on the water/ice dispenser work fine. It's just both of the top bulbs on the fridge side that are not working.

Looking at the parts diagrams, I suspect it is either the sockets (AP5178007) or the shield (AP3724154). Is there a way to really tell? And why would both sockets go out at one time? Might there be a larger issue?

Thanks.

Here are your parts

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

It is highly unlikely that both light sockets would go bad at the same time so I think it is a wiring problem (a bad connector or connection or wires).
The tech sheet has a wiring layout which may be useful to you.
