Hi All,
First time homeowner here, trying to fix my washer problem on my own. I am not exactly sure on the age of the washer but I would guess it to be at least 3-5 years old. Model #LSR8233EQ1. It is a Whirlpool

The problem I am having is that randomly the washer will fill with water but then not drain/spin. It has an awful burning smell when this happens. In the past we manually drained the water using the hose in the back and bucket and tipped the washer on its side to view the parts on the bottom. I noticed before this is this black rubber piece that I can move and it has a warped bump in it, I thought this might be the cause of the problem, as today the spin cycle wouldn't start so I tipped the machine, moved the rubber piece around and then the spin cycle worked. I am however, having trouble locating this piece online and figuring out what it is called.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That washer is about 16 years old and probably needs a new motor coupler.
