The dishwasher runs through the normal cycle completely. Then occasionally it will not start again because pressing the start button causes it to flash 3 times.

I reset the control board and then it runs normally. A couple of days later it may happen again.

I dont know what the light flashing 3 times indicates.

When i run it through the diagnostic cycle, it finishes with no lights lit.

I have tested the heater resistance and it shows normal continuity.

The control board was replaced about 5 months ago.

Help.

Check the connection of the ribbon cable on the control board. Make sure it is seated properly. If so, then the control panel may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Part number: AP3873391

Control programmed to not
start if it suspects door switch
is stuck closed. Control looks
for switch to open between
cycles.
■ Customer didn’t open door
between cycles.
■ Door switch contacts stuck
closed. 1. Open and close door and then
press Start/Resume key. Instruct
customer.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect
power.
3. Measure resistance of door
switch contacts while checking
mechanical operation of latch
assembly.

Thanks. I found that the switch seems to work ok when I test it with a meter. Do you think the problem is with the latch or the striker? The door closes and latches securely but the switch is not being closed, even though the switch itself tests ok when I test it with a meter and press the button on it.,

Check the strike and see if it looks broken. If not, then it sounds like the latch assembly will need to be replaced.
