I had continuous leaking from my drain valve seal so I replaced it.
The continuous leaking has stopped but I know have an intermittent leak when the washer goes into the drain cycle and the solenoid activates.
It looks like the leak is from the solenoid. Is it possible the solenoid could be leaking? I cannot detect any water feed to the solenoid but I guess it could be coming from somewhere else. Please let me know if dishwasher solenoids can leak water.
Thanks

I cannot find any info on the given model number.
Please check it.
I am assuming that it is actually a GE unit.

Is it possible the solenoid could be leaking?
No the solenoid itself cannot leak as there is no water to it.

I cannot say what is leaking as I think you have already replaced the flapper valve seal that is behind the solenoid.
Perhaps ypu installed it incorrectly?

Did you use a new push on nut?
Are you sure you had the seal facing in correctly?
Did yu clean the valve shaft and the seal seat?

This is a Kenmore Unit but could have been manufactured by GE. I did misstate the model #. It should be 363.14451691. Sorry about that.
I replaced the Gate shaft seal part #WD08X0181 and the push on nut part # WD02X0429 which I purchased from APP. They were both installed correctly as I watched the video and followed the instructions, the seal is flat side out with the groved/tapered side in. I also cleaned the shaft and the seal seat.

The primary differences between before and after seal replacement are:
Before: Continuous leaking of the seal during all washer cycles and even after the washer had stopped. It was coming from the seal area. Approximate leak quantity was 1 pint/12 hour period.
After: Only leaks during solenoid on cycle which I think is the drain cycle.
The quantity is approximately 1 tablespoon per dishwasher cycle. No leaks when off.
I can't tell where the origin of the leak is but it is dripping off the bottom of the solenoid. I plan on re-inspecting the leak the next time the washer runs.
Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Thanks

A mirror and a flash light may help you find the leak.
A mechanics mirror is ideal. It is like a dentist's mirror only larger.

In a pinch a small mirror taped to a dowel at an angle will do.

I the past I have use the wife's compact just don't get caught.

Hello Again Denman,
I have re-checked and the leak is coming from the gate shaft seal and spraying on to the Solenoid but only when the solenoid is activated.
Maybe between 1 and 2 tablespoons per dishwasher cycle.
Should I try replacing the seal and nut again or is this a lost cause?
If I replace the seal and nut again what should I do differently to ensure no more leak. Could silicone sealant be placed on the seat to help?

Yes I would give it another try.

I do not think silicone is a good idea.

This time take a good look at the valve seat to be sure it is clean and is not cracked.
Clean the valve shaft to make sure it does not have calcium deposits on it.

Also one thing that I do whenever installing seals et. is to give them a light coating of grease before installing. Seems to make things go in a lot easier.

Hello Again Denman
You were right all along!!
I ordered a new seal and nut on Monday and it came today and installed and tested.
I restudied the diagram and I had installed the first seal backwards.
Sorry to be such a slow learner but no leaks!
Thanks for your help.

You are welcome.
Just glad to hear it worked out OK for you.

And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
