Dryer makes clicking sound like something is stuck in the fan when turning start knob. I did not find problem in the fan. Dryer starts but won't stay on. Please advise. Thanks!

If it's running at normal speed while you hold the start switch but cuts off as soon as you release the switch, then you have a faulty motor. May be something in the motor causing the clicking sound.

It doesnt do anything except make the clicking noise when the knob is turned. It cuts off when the knob is released. The drum doesnt turn so it doesnt actually start.

Can you rotate the drum by hand? Release the belt from the motor pulley and see if the motor will start and run by itself.

I just realized the drum does turn when the power knob is turned and then cuts off when I let go of knob. Bad motor?
