Help!!

I have an LG WM0642HW and it is roughly 10 years old. When I run it through a normal wash it stops just before the spin and drain cycle. The drum just sits and it sounds like a grinding noise.

I removed the rear cover and checked the bearings. The seals are still good and there is no rust residue in the rear of the unit.

I ran a diagnostic test by pushing soil level and spin speed and then powered up the unit. The test stops with a blinking nE code and doesn't process any test at all.

What could this be? I appreciate your help.

On the Cotton / Normal Cycle the washer starts and the drum spins. At 38 minutes, the washer stops spinning and starts a grinding noise. I am left with a drum with water and have to manually drain.
