Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/20/2015(UTC) Posts: 3		Electric dryer GE model # DVLR223EE0WW. The dial does not advance when using Optimum Dry mode. Timer does advance properly on timed dry mode. Dryer generates heat on both settings, but dial does not advance /shut off with Optimum Dry mode. Can anyone advise what part(s) I need to inspect? Thanks!

This thermostat opens and closes turning the heat elements on/off to maintain proper heat level. In auto dry, the timer only advances when this thermostat opens. You may have an air flow problem or a faulty heat element. There are two elements in this dryer. Eric
