My dryer (FER231AS2) is venting the lint under the dryer not the exhaust vent. The semi-rigid exhaust tubing is secure at both the dryer and the wall. Would like to know what might cause this and how easy it is to fix.
thanks for any ideas and assistance!

Here are your parts. Parts for Frigidaire FER231AS2 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comI cannot say what is causing it as it may be a bad seal inside the unit. You would have to open it up to find this. Also may be a partially plugged exhaust vent system. This is the first thing I would check/clean. Also be sure the vents outside the house open fully. Even if it is mostly a vent system problem you will have to open the unit up so you can check/clean the dryer's interior. |

thank you for your reply. I realized after posting, that it is likely the exhaust being clogged and will be checking/cleaning that and the interior soon, with fingers crossed that it is the problem. Since it is now running hot even on low heat, I'll be drip-drying my laundry in the meantime so I don't cause any further damage :) all the best
