freezer 0 to +5, fridge 25-30. Had replaced control bd cause whole thing was dead. Cant control fridge to get above 30 (is usually around 25). Damper is nothing but a thin plastic flap-and is ok

Hello wawuerstlin. If you replaced the main board, you will need to check and see if your serial number matches the one that has to have the number 2 wire cut on the unit. This information can be found on your instruction sheet that was sent with the part.

Hi...checked the Ser # and starts with TM, also mine is a single compressor. Remembered reading that now before installing board. Any other ideas?

If all of that is good, you will need to check the thermistor sensors in the unit. If the thermistors are good, you will want to test the damper and see if it is opening and closing properly.

HI...tested all 3 Thermistors and got a Ohms reading of 3K to 16K warm to cold which should be good. Damper isnt motorized, just a piece of flapping plastic that blows open whenever fan in freezer blows!!?? Guess I got the Cheap model? But worked fine before ctrl bd went out. Help.

Here is the most common causes for the issue your having with that style of damper you have. The most common complaint is
Fresh Food Too Cold.
• Look for packages blocking the
freezer return.
(This causes increased suction on the fresh food side.)
• The wrong main control board
installed on a previous call.
(This causes the fan to run too fast.)
• Bad fresh food thermistor.
• Low Refrigerant Charge
(Freezer temp cannot get cold enough. During normal cycling,
the unit will toggle between low speed and medium speed after
the fresh food is satisfied until the freezer is satisfied.)

is the board you need.
