Very loud noise on fast spin. Sounds like something is hitting the inside of the outer tub at rotational speed.
I saw evidence of the tail of the inner drum shaft hitting the back cover so I replaced the shocks. No difference.
Everything is smooth and quiet until the spin speed cranks up. If you set the spin speed to slow sometimes it does not do it.
Not a bearing noise, more of a rattle but very loud.

Did you ever get any more information about what this might be. I also have a GE front-loader which makes a loud sound on fast spin when there is a load, but is completely quiet when unloaded.
