I have the top part of the agitator
removed, but the bottom part (no
visible bolt is holding it in place)
will not separate nor lift off its
spindle.

Is it merely fused to its spindle
due to mineral deposits?

Something else? I'm stalled.

Thanks.

I assume you took out the bolt that held the top part in place.

The bottom part will lift out but it may be 'fused' to the shafter by soap and scum and fabric softener if you use a lot of that.

It should pull of but you can hurt yourself in two ways, straining your back to lift and and smacking yourself in the fact if it suddently releases.

See if a friend will help pull it off, but be very careful.
