I have a Kenmore branded Roper range. There is no fault code. The oven will not operate in any mode, but range top operates fine. The "Oven On" light flashes in time with clock seconds. If I unplug the range, switch it to broil, and plug it back in, the light stays out, but the broil element does not heat. However, the light immediately starts flashing again when switching on oven or clean mode. Wiring looks good, temp probe reads 1K ohms. This range has a safety timer that shuts down the oven if it is left on for 12 hours. The manual says that feature can be toggled on and off by pressing the minute up and minute down buttons at the same time, but that does not work. What is the problem?? Thanks.

I left the range unplugged overnight. When I plugged it back in today, the light was out and the oven element started to heat when selected on. At some point the clean cycle light started flashing. I selected "Clean" and locked the door. The Oven and Clean lights illuminated steady, but only the broil element heated. I selected Off and unlocked the door, and the Oven On light began flashing. It's back to the same problem. Resistance of both elements show good. Both legs of 240V show good.
