A few months ago my LG dishwasher started to smell mildewy and there was build up of muck and general grime on the walls, racks and especially on the bottom of the door seam. I ran it empty which didn't help. There is no trap/screen to clean. I ended up manually cleaning everything, I took off the arm, cleaned them with a pipe cleaner, scrubbed down the racks, etc. Now a few months later it's back in the same situation. We've lived in this house for over four years and never had an issue with it before this. Any thoughts?

We did switch to the little pod things, but it seems like a while ago. Maybe that was the start of the build up. I will try to go back to our old one and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion.
