Hi,
I have a 2006 Frigidaire side by side refrigerator model PHSC39EESS5 that currently is not cooling as it should. Below are the parts that I changed:
01 - March 2014 changed defrost T-stat because unit stopped cooling. Evap was then solid ice. After this change, all was well until 2 weeks ago.
02 - Two weeks ago, unit stopped cooling and a local repairman recommended that I change the compressor inverter. I replaced it with a new one, to no avail.
Both fans operate with good flow (Evap/Cond), compressor runs, condenser is clean and all connections to main board are tight (no visible burn marks on it).
Evaporator is freezing only on the first 2 upper coils (ice). the rest of the coils are frost free.
The temp display is erratic. At times it displays -2 / 30, other times 38 / 38, and so on.
Hopefully someone here will be able to help me solve this dilemma.
Thank you,
