When its in its spin cycle it dont seem to make the noise. it almost sound like a motor whining. its definatly coming from underneath. if i switch the agitation speeds it gets louder and slower with the speeds faster and slower. what should i be looking for? thanks for the help

Try and operate it with the cabinet off (you may need to jumper the lid switch) and see if you can tell where the whining is coming from. It could be the brakes slipping, the coupling or the transmission if the noise is coming from underneath the basket. Check the pump also as it is turning during agitation.
