Make/model: Kenmore Elite Coldspot Model 106 side by side refrigerator
Hi Guys, Here's the issue: both the condenser and evaporator fans are turning on and off repeatedly at the same time, even when the compressor is running. When they turn on theres a "ding" sound and when they turn off theres a click and both fans shut off. They then start back up together. In most cases they'll keep turning on and off quickly several times within a few seconds, like they're trying to start up and run but something is shutting them down. Then they'll start up with a ding and stay on for a minute or two before clicking off again. On/off all day...
In some cases when this happens the displayed numbers on the control panel inside the fridge go haywire. Most times the numbers dim until the fans turn back off then they get bright again. Sometimes they display a bunch of different numbers then go out. It acts like something is shorting out.
The other night the ding turned into sustained ring for 10-20 seconds then stopped. That's only happened a few times.
The compressor seems to be running normally. The evaporator fan seems to be running fine. Theres no ice buildup on the coil. I've cleaned the dust off the condenser coil. The damper motor is opening and closing normally. And temps seem fine (3 deg/37deg).
The fans turning on/off so fast/often With the dinging is concerning me. Is the contol panel going out? Is the condenser fan bad and causing them both to turn off? What should I start with first? Your insights will be much appreciated.

Alan
please let me know what advice and/or fix you got for this. Mine works fine except for fans going on and off frequently and same display quirks and beeps etc. it's driving me nuts and can't be good for fridge.
thanks
