Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/10/2015(UTC) Posts: 1		This morning I woke up and smelt something funny. The outside of the fridge was warm/hot. I pulled it from the wall and removed the cover from the back and the fan is not turning. Im sure it was causing the smell. I cant get a repair man out till Monday. Can I place a small fan to cool the back of the fridge and still leave the fridge plugged in to work. The fridge is working, but the fan near the compressor is not turning. HELP.

It is important that it circulate air around the compressor and also blow or suck air past the condenser coils. Make sure that the condenser coils are clean and that vents in the front kick plate are also clean.
