About a month ago I replaced Thermostat-Hi Limit/fuse because of no power. Worked fine for a couple weeks, but now stops mid cycle. There are no lights at first but "--" appears in timer window and Start light blinks as if someone opened door and didn't restart. Restarts with 44 minutes -- sometimes it finishes and others it stays on 44 and dies.

Today, I ended up doing this a couple times and then drained and it ran a rinse cycle to completion (only 2 minutes.) I was leaning towards heater element, but trying to verify before ordering one.

There is a note in the manual that says: "On models with a dual-digit display the control displays (--) during a cycle if it believes the door is not latched."
