I have a Whirlpool gas oven (gs440lemq). A couple of days ago it started not working in bake mode. I can hear the gas starting to flow, I hear 4 double sparks (clicks?) but then it stops without lighting.
When trying in broil, it works just fine.
I opened the bottom section and when starting in bake, I lit the gas with a match and it works just fine (i.e. gas doesn't shut off). That said, for obvious reasons that's not a workable solution. Anyone have any idea what to do next?

Thanks

A quick update, (the model is actually gs440lemt2), I did replace the igniter ()Whirlpool 9758079 Oven Igniter - AppliancePartsPros.com, which was a straightforward job. After the replacement, the igniter certainly worked. However, the next day again it didn't work. Again, it works on broil but when trying on bake, I can hear the gas flow, I hear four double spark noises and then nothing happens.
