A periodic loud noise comes from the freezer compartment. Its getting worse. Both compartments work fine. I have a parts diagram and it shows a "fan blade" and motor at the back of the freezer. Not sure if this is the evaporator fan. I would like to get a service manual and any suggestions on troubleshooting this problem. Other posts seem to indicate this fridge is made by Whirlpool, and that there are service manuals for other models. Can't find one for this model. Implications are that there is a diagnostic test that can be performed. Any help is appreciated.

An update:Found a service manual for a different model, but seems similar. Took off lower panel in freezer. Evaporator fan seems to run quitely. Testing pins 1 & 4 of the motor (red & white wires) gives 2 ohms on most scales. On lowest scale reading briefly is at about 155 ohms, then goes to open. Blue wire to motor is not used. W/ fridge on, get 12VDC between red & white and with fan off, get about 1VDC between yellow and white. With fan on, yellow/white goes to about 7VDC. Evap fan part: Panasonic UDQT22WP1.
