History - was given this 1998 stove, very clean saw little apparent use. Random sparking, replaced spark module. Also replaced the front burner supply lines because apparently PO tried to lift top without unfastening the burners... and bent the front lines off.
Now, Medium LF burner on high will flare and gives signs its ignited INSIDE the Burner Head. Looking through the crack of the top I confirmed its ignited FROM THE ORIFICE!!! Meaning flame is flaring from the orifice up through the Burner Head, instead of only burning as the gas exits all the slots around the Burner Head. I'm not an expert but I know this is NOT GOOD. When it flares it sounds like a blow torch.
Tried swapping Burner Head, Burner Cap, and Orifice with the Medium Burner in back. It reproduces itself on the same LF burner so it's not the orifice, Burner Head, or cap.
Soot is on one side inside the Burner Head tube. Is this an Alignment Problem?

Fixed, removed top, found that one of the new supply lines I bought (LF) was loose at the compression fitting and it was leaking from the fitting on the basket/bracket up to the orifice, and eventually ignited. Learned this bu following the soot pattern. Fitting was finger loose. Tightened, problem solved.
