Our oven quit working during a self clean cycle. Both the Broil and Bake elements do not heat.
I purchased replacement new broil and bake elements, but both still do not heat. I have 240V at the wires going to the oven and at the element rear connectors when the oven is turned on. What else can cause the oven not to heat?

Hi Kcrossman,
I'd start with checking both heating elements for continuity and short to ground.
Unplugging the oven from power
This is done by setting your meter to ohms
Removing one terminal from the element
Put a meter probe on each terminal of the element - continuity is good.
No continuity? Replace element.
To check for a short:
With wire still off the terminal
Touch one probe to the terminal and the other probe to the frame of the oven.
You should not have continuity.
Now, touch one probe to the terminal and then the other to the black portion (outside casing) of the terminal. You should have no continuity.
Let us know what you find.

I found the problem with the thermal fuse. I jumper end the fuse and the oven now works.

If your thermal fuse was bad you would not have had 240v at the element terminals as you mentioned in your original post.
Jumping the fuse for testing is fine, but for your safety do not use the oven until the fuse is replaced.
