Hi just joined forum. Bought a house several months ago and the side-by-side frig in it. Told it works fine. Soon after moving in, found ice block in what I think is the condensation pan area, got that out and made sure was draining fine. Starting to build again. Temp setting for freezer always says -20degreesF and frig 39degreesF digital. If I try to set freezer higher it will go to 6degreesF but later is back to -20degreesF. Water dispenser works sometimes. Makes ice fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire LFUS2613LP0 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comYour problem with the icing up of the drain is probably related to the unit being too cold. The most likely cause of this is a bad control board. One thing to check is if this unit is on a designated/separate line. If not you may want to try adding a surge protector to the line. These are available at Home Depot etc. A 1000 joule unit is preferred but a 750 protector should work if you cannot find a 1000. They just plug into the wall receptacle and then you plug the fridge into it. The reason is that [perhaps there are voltage spikes on the line and it is messing up your units computer. This is a bit of a long shot but would be worth a try. Even if it is not the problem you will still have additional protection for the unitr in the future. |
