KitchenAid gas range. kgsa906pss01
the door won't close all the way and lights stay on. I took the door off and tried to re-seat it but it still won't close all the way up top.
Do the springs just get weaker? can i add a washer in there to tighten them up? or do i need to take it apart and maybe add a spacer on the stove side of the receiver..
Anyone else having this issue with kitchenaid doors?

Here are your parts Parts for KitchenAid KGSA906PSS01 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comHere is a link to a manual You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download it http://appliancejunk.com...&id=147;t=1416820123 Do the springs just get weaker? Yes they can. I would replace them as long as te hinge receivers look and feel OK. They are item 10 in section 03. There are two types so be sure you get the correct ones. can i add a washer in there to tighten them up? You could try but it ould be a bear of a job. or do i need to take it apart and maybe add a spacer on the stove side of the receiver.. Not sure what this would do. |

Yes it also seems a little to low to me. But if it has always been this way it may be normal. Not sure what would cause this. |
