At first I thought that the fabric softener dispenser was dumping the softener too soon, but I watched the cycle and discovered what is happening. After the agitation is complete, there is a few second pause and the draining starts, along with the spinning. After a few minutes of draining, rinsing and spinning, the spinning stops for a few seconds, dropping the softener in the tub and the spinning and rinsing starts again, rinsing away the softener. I think that the spinning should start after it has drained. Any thoughts?

What's the model number? Washer should drain for 2 minutes without spinning, then motor should pause for a few seconds and start again at which point it should start spinning while continuing to drain. After spin stops, it should fill with water for the rinse cycle. If it drains and spins right after agitation stops, the neutral drain in the transmission is faulty.

Kenmore model # 110.2490220. I suspect that it should drain for 2 minutes before spinning, but it doesn't. It used to. Thanks
