 I have a Gallery Series Frigidaire that's been in storage for two years, I plugged it into a regular electrical outlet to see if it still worked and indeed it did the first day, but day 2 it stopped working. The lights come on but the motor doesn't come on therefore it doesn't cool. Did I blow a fuse? or blow the motor? I didn't use the bigger outlet like I think your suppose to and I also used an extension cord? Can you help me fix it?

Hi Luis,
Did it make any noise like it was trying to start and could not?
In what position it was in storage? How did you move it and how soon you plugged it in after moving?
Also I need you to post the complete model number of the fridge.
Gene.

The fridge was stored upright in my garage. I plugged it in the 1st time with a 3 pronge extension cord and it worked just fine, cooled and everything. I unplugged it and plugged it in again the 2nd day. It tripped the fuse on the extension cord so I reset it, but the only thing that came on this time was the lights, no motor. Model # GLRSF266J, Frigidaire Gallery Series. Thanks so much for any help you can provide. Luis

Hi Luis,
What is the size of the fuse on the extension cord?
How long the fridge was unplugged between the first and second times? If it was less then 10 minutes then the compressor got overloaded which could cause the fuse to trip off.
