This dishwasher is seven years old, and seems to be running for much longer recently than it used to. I have tried to research this issue on this forum, but the posts I read seem to all deal with models that have at least a basic LED display upon which to show error codes. This particular model has nothing but a few indicator LEDs inside the door, hence no code display (That I know of).
It runs for close to four hours sometimes, and it is moving water around during most of that time, doesn't seem to be an overly long heated drying time. Dishes are pretty clean...(although some of the people in my family need a lesson in how to load a dishwasher).
I have all the necessary tools with which to check voltages, amperage and such but I don't know where to start. Unfortunately, that wonderful stickie post at the top doesn't include the SHX....
If this is an overly redundant post I apologize in advance...

Just wanted to see if I can get any suggestions on this issue. I have checked the impeller and backflow preventers..no apparent issues there. Again, this model has no LED indicator display so I am wondering if there is, in fact, ANY way of running a diagnostic test.
Anybody?

Just a quick followup, I found a small bit of plastic from what appears to be a take-out food container blocking the discharge hose where it joined the sink tail-piece. (No disposal) Tiny little bit but it is most likely the culprit. Machine running now, time will tell.
Still, any ideas on hoe to view diagnostic codes on this machine with no LED's?
