I've been looking for some ideas about this problem:
I select the type of load, enter the temp and dry options, etc., and push start. Normal loads are set for 50 minutes. However, the cycle only lasts for about 25 to 30 minutes, and I have to restart it.

This problem began after I replaced the upper felt and the heating element. I followed the instructions found in the repair manual, and did not drop or mishandle the control board.

Suggestions?

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES1 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com

I am assuming that you are using timed dry.
If not please let me know.

Where is the timer when it shuts off?
Any other strange things re: lights etc. on the controls.

Try to catch it when it shuts off and then try to restart it right away.
The reason for this is that the motor is temperature protected so if it overheats the unit shuts down.
If it is the motor overheating then after it shuts off you have to wait several minutes before it will restart re: the thermal protect has to reset.

Well, it's normal mode, high temp, more dry. The LED displays 50 at the start. But it seems to act like it goes through the cycle as far as the LED goes. It displays 'Ad' toward the end and shuts off normally.

I have not sat and watched it, though. When it completely shuts off, one LED is lit: clean lint filter.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Try the diagnostics to see if there is an error code.

If the unit does this all the time yry the following.
Unplug the unit and disconnect it from the vent system.
Now try a run.
If it now dries OK odds are the vent system needs checking/cleaning.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the outside of the house open correctly.

If you do not want any lint in the house.
Take a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg into the other and then attach this to the dryer's vent.
Leave enough room so the pantyhose can balloon out like a windsock.

Both the above will let you check the temperature and the air flow.

The reason for doing the above is that in many places checking that the vent system is clean is not easy.

If the problem is intermittent then just check/clean the vent system.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the vent outside the house open fully.

Coming back to my dryer...I haven't tried the panty hose on yet, but I went back into the diagnostics to find the error codes. Well, there are none.
However, I have some questions regarding the info I did find.
1. When I entered the Diag, I got a reading of C01. What does this mean?
2. When I pass the code storage location, I find a reading of E18. Meaning?
3. Then, 3 clicks counterclockwise, I get r87. Meaning?
4. If I turn the knob clockwise from normal, I get 'run'. ??
5. 2 clicks cw, I get the thermistor reading, current temp.

So, now, I am going to wait for washer to finish and throw a load in with the pantyhose on and see what happens.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Perhaps the following will help.
You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download a manual.
Then go to the Manuals section and then Dryer Service Manuals.
There are several manuals for Frigidaire on page 2.

is probably the closest match to your unit.
