This is a used Kenmore Ultra Wash Plus dishwaher we just installed.
An older washer ,another make was removed from this same location and worked fine here for years.
With this Kenmore unit water leaks out the bottom of the door when the washer is cycling through a wash.
I tried leveling it up in the front with some shingles to prevent it from flowing over the bottom tray out on to the floor.The tray seems to be full of water when I stop the washer and look inside.This does not seem to help ,and may even make the problem worse.
Is there a water seal between the door and tray?
It looks like the door is designed to lock down over the lip of the tray when it closes.
Any comments to help here is greatly appreciated

Your Model Number looks like it is short a couple digits.
I cannot find any info on it.
I can tell you it is made by Whirlpool re:110
Check to make sure the unit is emptying out all the water at the end of a cycle.
Sometimes poor draining will leave water in the tub, then when it fills it is actually overfilled and the float/ flood switch shuts off the water valve. It will not leak while just sitting there but the wash turbulence will cause some water to splash out.
Does the unit hav a nams re: jet Clean etc. maybee I can find info using that if all you have is the listred Model Number. |

Thank you for responding.I rechecked my information.The name on the door front is Kenmore and below it Ultra Wash Plus. The serial # 110753793 from manufacturing tag id inside the washer. The serial # is FE 5205100
Where do I look to find the drain and how can I make sure it is clear and removing the water properly.

Just to be clear!
My problem,I am having water leakage at the bottom of the dishwaher door.
Please note this is a Kenmore dishwasher and not to be confused with a clotheswasher.
Mode # 110753793

Thank you Denman,
I checked the dishwadher drain further after you mentioned the drain may be a problem and found short pieces of label plastic caught in the entry areas to the sump which I cleaned out This clear plastic was not readily noticed at first from taking a look but prying with a metal envelope opener I found a number of pieces. I figure there was enough pieces to perhaps hamper 20% of the flow.We just ran a wash cycle after clearing it out without any leaks so with fingers crossed,I believe it is now fixed.
Thank you for steering me in the right direction to resolve this problem.

My drainage problem still exists,thought I had it. How do I take it apart to clear the pump area of any further debris?
