Right after cleaning, I got a continuous door lockout display. After several attempts at resetting it, the lockout motor now runs continuously and the display alternates between a steady "lock" indication to a blinking "lock" indication.
Motor seems to spin just fine including cams hitting the two micro switches normally. It just won't stop spinning unless disconnected.
Oven will not work but heating elements are fine.
Time for a new lock motor or ....something else?
Thanks in advance everyone!

No answers? OK maybe I should just start with replacing the lock out motor. Can anyone provide a part number.
Thanks again everyone.

You have a couple problems here. First I cannot find any info on the given model number. The below info is for a JB910SL1SS (no "o" in it) Also it is a GE and I do not have access to any of their tech data so cannot help when it comes to interpreting an electrical/electronic problem. Here are the parts Parts for GE JB910SL1SS Range - AppliancePartsPros.comThe lock mechanism is Item 151 in section 06. Clicking on it will bring up more info about the part. Looks like it has a lot of wires to hook up so either take pictures, label things or replace it one wire at a time. Odds are it is a switch on the mechanism re: the lock does not know where home position is so never stops. Could also be the control board but the lock is more likely. Be sure to unplug the unit when working on it. |

Thanks Denman - I've ordered the part and hope it will solve the problem. Thanks also for the "unplug first" suggestion - very sound advice.:)
