My brother in law was nice enough to pick a jazz board for my Amana refrigerator when I said it was not cooling up or down the bottom freezer. This board is $130 where he got it and I don't want to try it if it is something else. I have put the board through diagnostic and all seems well other than it isn't cooling. Compressor seems to be running, condenser fan, evap fan etc all check. So its either call a repairman or gamble and change out the jazz board and see. What say you??? could it be the board 50 - 50 or not??

You said "Compressor seems to be running". This is not good enough. You must know for sure that it is running.
You can usually hear it but also should be able to feel it vibrating.
If it is running all the time other than when the unit goes through a defrost cycle then it is not a control board problem re: the unit knows that it is too warm and is trying to get the temperature down to set point but for some reason cannot.

Remove the cover in the freezer so that you can inspect the evaporator coils.

If there is just frost in one area (usually where the freon enters the coils) then it is a sealed system problem and will be an expensive repair. Often it make more sense to put those dollars towards a new unit.

If the coils are heavily iced/frosted over then it is a defrost problem, causes coiuld be the control board, the defrost heater of the defrost thermostat.

Also make sure that the doors are sealing correctly.

I should have been more clear, yes its vibrating and running could have leaked most of the Freon out of the evaporator have a tech bringing a new evap Monday $500 installed.
