My house was build in 1967 and still has the original GE working wall oven. I don't use the clock or the timers on it but recently the clock has started to make a fairly loud rattling/buzzing noise. I'm wondering if there's a way to pop off the upper panel with the clock and dismantle the clock so it will be silent. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Unplug the unit or flip the breaker off if it is hard wired. Remove the rear upper cover so you can get to the timer. You should see a motor mounted to the timer, just disconnect it. Be sure to tape up and position the timers power wires where they cannot short to anything. |
