timer on our dryer continues to run at the end of a cycle, even taking the dryer into the "next" cycle and starting it again. the dryer does stop if we open the door, but the timer continues to run.

replace the timer?

is there another internal switch that causes it to run on?

Replace the timer, cam worn out.
