I have an Admiral top loading washer. During agitation cycle, it squeaks. It appears that the inner cylinder/ basket is moving during the sound so I presume it's some kind of breaking mechanism that is the problem. During spin cycle etc, there are no issues. I've uploaded this youtube video to demonstrate. The top of the washer shows model AAV70000AWW Rev 27. I was able to find related issues during spin online but nothing for agitation. Thanks in advance!

I think it is the brakes. I cannot link you to a service manual, but you should be able to find one online that you can download for a nominal cost. Be careful working with the brakes, there is a spring that is under a tremendous load and it can be very dangerous, very dangerous.
