I recently replaced the lid switch assembly after the washer stopped working. This fixed it for a couple of weeks, but a new problem has started.

Now the timer will progress through the cycles. However at the end of the fill and wash cycles, the washer hums before the next cycle starts and I can sometimes smell a faint electrical burn odor.

At first I thought the timer was not progressing, but after waiting it out, I realized it was and this appears to be another problem.

Is this a problem with the drive motor, the drive motor start switch, or something else?

Thanks, O'Brien
