I am attempting to remove the impeller from a maytag. I've tried to get the screw loose for the impeller but the shaft keeps turning. Is there a way to hold the shaft from turning to loosen the screw. The other post stating hold the impeller does not work. I can feel it moving the motor as I try to get the screw out. Please, so desperate wife on her way home to kick my a@#.

Some motors have a hole in the bottom so you can lock the armature.
