Goes into spin cycle and when it gets up to 3/4 speed, the motor cuts on and off a few times then stops adds some water and does it again. Then it shows cycle complete light. Have to put it on drain and spin setting to make it spin the water out of the clothes. It has one time while in spin cycle, stop and lid lock blink and had to unplug to get lid open.

There should be a tech sheet under the top cover which will show you how to do some diagnostics, but I think the main control unit may be bad which if so will limit your diagnostics. In this case you will need to replace the control unit Part number: AP5629538
which is expensive but if that doesn't fix the problem and you buy from APP you can return the part.

Have already had to change gearcase because off bad bearing. Have done diagnostics and doesn't show anything. Have tried calibrating 5 times. Sounds like I need to get a Speed Queen instead.

Machines with electronics are a disaster. What do electronics hate? They hate moisture, vibration and heat. What do washing machine produce . . . ?
I recommend a basic top loader with NO ELECTRONICS
