Can I plug in my refrigerator if the entire freezer section is disassembled? I was in the process of replacing the evaporator fan motor when I discovered that the part GE told me to order is incorrect (my motor needs the thermistor attached; the one I bought has the thermistor separate). I don't want to reassemble the refrigerator if I don't have to. The new part will arrive tomorrow. Thank you.

You will have infinite resistance for the freezer thermistor and the computer will recognize the freezer is too cold and shut down.
