Everything looks good underneath but it's leaking from under the basket. The large circular gasket(for lack of a better term) that goes over the transmission. I'm pretty handy and confident I could repair this if I could find the service manual. been googling for an hour with no luck. I'm looking for how to disassemble it. the screws on top are extremely hard to reach and i can't tell what kind of head they have. thanks for the help.

Given the age of this machine, your problem and the difficulty and cost in getting parts, I am going to suggest you replace.

GE took this model type out of production over 15 years ago, and you should get a new or good used back top load model.
