The oven takes a long time to pre-heat, and then the temperature isn't correct. I hung an oven thermometer on the broil element bracket near the oven temp sensor to see what was going on. I set the oven on bake at 375 deg. After about 10 minutes the oven beeped and said 375. The thermometer showed 250. I've tested both elements and temp sensor using the specs on the sheet that was on the back of the oven, and everything is in spec. I've replaced the clock/control head with 2 different (I hope) parts and nothing has changed. I've checked voltage at the plug and am getting 120/240 where i'm supposed to. The control heads were both refurbished through appliance parts pros. Any suggestions?

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool WFE374LVB0 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. I am assuming that the "clock/control head" refers to the electronic control board (item 12 in section 02). Does the oven heat up in broil only? The reason I ask is that there is a thermal fuse (item 36 in section 03) in the broil element circuit. It should be 0 ohms. Try running the diagnostics to see if an error code comes up. |
