The dryer runs and times through a drying cycle with no heat.
The vent was clogged with lint.
I tried to bypass the fuse by taping the wires together but still no heat.
From the back and exterior front, I see/hear no signs of igniter glow or clicks.
Should I be able to see glow from under the unit in a darkened room?
How do I access/remove the front bottom panel to observe/repair?
I feel 2 clips underneath but, I can't figure out how to remove them.
Does my attempt to bypass the fuse rule that out as the problem?
I thought it had to be that because of the clogged vent.
Is there a reset somewhere on the unit?
What setting should i put my meter on to check parts?
I have tenants moving in Saturday and a dryer in pieces so
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about toe panel on this 27 year old machine. From parts manual, looks like you just pull upper part of panel to release from clips. Can't find wiring diagram for this old model either. Thermal fuse is typically in gas valve circuit so shorting the two wires from thermal fuse would make it work if blown fuse was the problem. Also don't know how well you could see glow from ignitor on this old model either. Control board is for advancing timer in auto dry cycle.

Thank you for your reply, I didn't realize it was that old. I tried pulling the upper part of the panel but it seems something is securing it in addition to the clips on the upper outer sides. I'll probably replace it with a used dryer from the classifieds and play with the old one in my garage and see if I can get into it.
