We bought this Kitchen aid from the past owner. It supposedly just needs a new mother board. Total lie. What it needs, we now believe is a new master control board, part #2223443 F which of course they no longer make.

Has anyone encountered this problem? What should we do?

The troubleshooters have been my ex fiance: An air force airplane mechanic, he can fix about anything.
My friend is an electrician., He was able to get the thing running well by bypassing the MCB but that was a temporary solution.

First, does anyone know how or where to get this part since KA no longer makes it. In fact KA has been bought out by Maytag? And they no longer make it,.

Does anyone have any advice? Or know how we can replace this part or even if we should bother?
Thank you so much. My old refrig is about to go and I'm using this beautiful KA as a storage unit!! In my living room!!! FWIW, the storage bins are a good place to store horse feed. HELP!

Looks like it can be repaired depending on what the problem is.
Take a look at the Q&A section.
You may want to give that a try.

Denman, it looks like it's already been repaired. The part we have looks different than the stock photo. Richard thought it had been repaired. He has the part right now but will be back later. I'll check the Q&A anyway. thanks so much for your reply.

Anyone else feel free to weigh in! Thanks a lot!
