The electric oven/cooktop that I bought with my house has worked really well (about a year and a half, plus however long previous owners had it), but last week my wife mentioned that the oven won't heat anymore. We played around with it a little bit, and found that while the panel will state that it's heating to a particular temperature (whatever that may be), the element itself doesn't heat up.
This morning I whipped out some tools and started to play around, and here are the measurements that I got..
Element - 16.1ohm Temperature gauge - ~1.1k ohm Power in - 244.1v AC (121.9 and 122.5 measured on both legs)
Everything looks within spec, so while I was behind it keeping an eye on things I plugged it back in and had her turn on the oven.. and it worked. Relays clicked on, power on the element jumped to ~240v, and heat started to pour out of the oven! So she canceled it, we waited a minute, and now nothing again. I don't believe it's a power issue, or even a power cycling issue; our power was out the day after we noticed (completely unrelated) and it didn't work after that either.
At this point, I'm leaning towards a new controller board, but the new part is around $300, so I'm hesitant to go drop the cash without asking around a little bit.
Thanks for any advice/suggestions!

Well, after digging around a little I found I could repair the board for about a third of the cost of buying a new one.. which was quite preferable, considering the $300 pricetag and the 1-3 week lead time on parts. However, when I pulled the board out I noticed it had a different part number (00N21613101) compared to what parts places were trying to sell, and I found one on ******** for $50. A few days and a couple screws later the part is replaced, and I'm back in business. I'm not sure if this is a deprecated part number, or if there was a hack-job repair to this stove before that used the wrong unit, but I'm hoping this board keeps it going till I upgrade to a gas unit later.
So hopefully at some point this comes up in a Google search, incase anyone else is having a similar problem. Given the lack of responses in the two weeks since I posted this I'm guessing that there's either no interest, or no knowledge of this unit floating around.
